Climbing Fuji: 800 Years of the Yoshida Trail is a special exhibition at Fuji-san Museum in Fujiyoshida. It explores the Yoshida Trail, the only historic route that can still be followed from the foot of Mount Fuji to the summit.
The exhibition draws on documents, votive objects, maps, photographs and travel accounts connected with the mountain route, its stations and the religious and practical life around climbing Fuji. It is presented in two parts: the first focuses on the route from the foot of the mountain to the Fifth Station, while the second looks from the Sixth Station toward the summit.
This is useful context for visitors interested in Mount Fuji beyond the climbing season, particularly those planning to visit the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine area or learn more about the Yoshida Trail.
