Set inside a renovated Japanese inn, Kagelow combines reclaimed wood from old Japanese houses, tatami flooring and contemporary design. Its warm, relaxed spaces provide opportunities for travellers to meet and experience a more local side of Kawaguchiko.

Accommodation includes shared dormitories and private rooms with either a queen-size bed or traditional tatami flooring. Several rooms offer views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Showers and bathroom facilities are shared.

On the ground floor, toe bar & restaurant welcomes both travellers and local residents for food, coffee and drinks. Guests can also use the hostel’s shared kitchen.
